R Meir Baal Haness in Teverya?

The most unusual vending machine I'd seen in Israel was one that dispensed French fries with a hechsher in Meah Shearim (in 2003.)

Wherever you are this shabbat (p' Re'eh), I hope you get haftorah.

I have heard from a reliable source that the association of "R Meir Baal Haness" with the Tanna R Meir is a Jewish urban legend and has no historical basis.

Cool pic though!

Does the Haftorah comment mean that we should be wishing you Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary?

The french fries were not bad.

It's a reference to this post.

You can also wish me a happy birthday.
