Report Card

We just got back The PT's K-5 (kindergarten) report card. This is the sixth of our children for this teacher, and so far, she's hit the nail on the head every time:

[The PT] is an individualist who has her own sense of time and space. She hums to herself frequently. She has worked hard on overcoming her fear of being in the bathroom alone and is very proud of herself for that (her teachers are, too!)

All right.

It sounds like this teacher is really able to appreciate kids' individuality. I like the humming comment. To paraphrase Thoreau, perhaps it is because the PT hears a different drummer. Let her step to the music which she hears, however measured or far away. Enjoy her!

Must be comforting to have had the some teacher for all of your kids.
We've got conference very soon...should be interesting, too.

I'm still a little uncomfortable being in the bathroom by myself. I stopped humming, though.

Wow, another Einstein you've got there! You know what she must be thinking: "Time and space? It looks different from my frame of reference. It's all relative!"

I love that the teacher appreciates her individuality. I hope she never gives up humming!!!

Sounds like your teacher had dreams of being a writer once.
She definitely gives a nicer description of the PT than "plays nicely with others" and "can eat a PBJ without letting blobs of jelly fall into her lap".
Shep Nachas!

The teacher is a true gem. However I think she was trying to be "kind" in her comments, not complimentary.

Those of you who have followed this blog from the beginning know how on the money she is in her assessment.
