Hits = Miles

I did hit 100,000 visits earlier today (page views are more like 190,000). It's amazing how many people still haven't figured out that there's nothing going on over here.

The winning visit was by a nice person from Carlstadt, New Jersey, who was searching on Yahoo for "Jewish Yamaka," which is how most of my random visitors find me. Welcome!

[I'm expecting my 100,000 visitor soon, so if anyone isn't doing anything in 2037 aboout May drop by.]

It is funny you mentioned this because I actually broke 100,000 hits today as well.

Mazel Tov!

(Wait - is it really the same as your car mileage? Or is that an old pic?)

BB: Don't worry, plenty of opportunities to raise the counter. Click early and click often! Wow, it's the first time I've seen someone link to one of their own comments on a different post! Are you related to Doctor Bean?

ASJ: Mazel Tov to you too. Cool, innit?

Sarah: Half of the clicks are me, but thanks anyway!

Ezzie: I took that picture last week. The counter caught up today.

Might be time to rotate the links and check under the template.

So nu, what's your secret? You started blogging less than two weeks before I did, and I've had only 31,721 visitors. On the plus side, that's more visitors than the Punster and I have on the average Shabbat. :)

Mazal tov, and many more. :) :) :)

Mazal Tov! I don't track these things...

But anyway, my most common hit is "Yerushalaiym Shel Zahav".

100K+! Good going! Re: the car, how long have you been driving it? Our 95 has about 103K on it, and I've had it since 99, when it was at 59K. I drove 50 miles a day to work for 2 years, and we do our road trips in it, but these days I drive mostly very locally. I think we hit 100K a late last winter, and as we approached it, I insisted that all 4 of us be in the car and drive around the neighborhood slowly so we could see all those zeros line up and not miss it. Geeky, but it sure was fun when we yelled out "One-hundred thousand!" together!

Mazal Tov! (perhaps you should have combined this with your previous post?)

Ad Meah v'Esrim...million?

OOA: I think before you can have hits you need a hit counter.

Neil: Time for comment spam.

Shira: It's simple: I IM Doc Bean every day and have him log on to the site from every computer he has at work and then just keep hitting refresh all day long. It's time intensive, yes, but well worth the effort. Why, yesterday alone, I think I had him log on about 87 times.

DB: Couldn't have done it without you!

Safranit: Hmm...you don't track these things, but you know what your most common hit is...

Baleboosteh: Thanks, are you related to the bagel dude?

RM: I bought it new in Jan 1994 when I was in my last year of residency and my 72 Torino died in the hospital parking lot (the engine was frozen solid after a long call weekend). There's actually an interesting story that Mrs. B might want to tell relating to the purchase of the car, since I was too much of a chicken to go and haggle for it myself.

Hitting the 100000 mark was cool (obviously, I missed it and snapped the picture a little late), but I have to admit, I thought I'd be in more of a "doctor" car before I ever got near that mark.

Jameel: AMEN!

I think there's some kind of Prizmania going on - they're everywhere I look! There's a 1990 Prizm for sale around the corner from me(asking $1450), your post about the Prizm criminal, Prizms are hitting 100K miles . . what's next?!

BTW those of you using sitemeter--don't be discouraged. Sitemeter greatly underestimates hits. I have Gostats on this page too and it says I have 140,169 hits.
