In the Adom Olam video, the closing riff has a rather familiar sound to it...sort of in the style of the music of Yes. Good stuff!

Tor Pearl: Thank You! Mendel wrote the rif. I think he got it from Van Halen. I wrote a coda that was very reminiscent of Led Zeppelin (check the radio.blog on the right sidebar if you want to hear the studio version), but none of my guitar players could ever remember it. I leave it up to the individual players to make up their own particular ending.
Yes, I hope you'll come in August. I think that show will be even better.
Adon Olam has been on virtually every playlist since I wrote the song back in 85. It's one of the first songs I ever wrote and still my favorite.
Sweettooth: I'm not exactly known for being a flashy dresser, on or off stage. My one criterion is: Does this make me look fat? Judging by the Rider video, the answer is Yes.
btw The PT asked me to hide my hands behind my back and put on a propeller cap. I told her it's hard to play guitar with no arms (and forget about the no pants thing). And yet, somehow Homestar manages.

By the way - Mick Jones' stepson was featured in the "Bar Mitzvah Disco" Book - he talked about how his stepdad and he launched into "Hot Blooded" at the party.
I really wish I could have stuck around to meet Mick Jones.
Well at least I met his roadie and saw his guitar.
Here's a story: Foreigner was still unpacking their stuff when we arrived to set up. Unfortunately, we had also piled our stuff on stage to set up at the same time.
To keep the roadies from accidentally loading our crates and amps on Foreigner's truck, they asked us to identify which equipment was ours. I turned to the rack of $3000 guitars and said, "Those."
