Woo-Hoo!

I MADE it! I made it all the way through sfira without missing a day! Thanks to the OU and the Internet! First year EVUH! (And a good thing too, since now that I daven every night for the amud, it would have been very embarrassing to have to admit that I lost count after day 2)

Happy Pentecost, everyone!

Wow! Congratulations!

What's your next religious challenge? Mine is to have at least some of the other congregants believe that I'm paying attention during services.

You can always count on the OU.

Ba ha ha ha!!!

Bean - baby steps, let's try to start with something attainable. How about staying awake during the rabbi's sermon?

Just kidding! About staying awake.

I was going to ask what EVUH meant but I just reread it and realize what you meant by it. I thought it was another part of counting.

But what does Pentecost mean?

Tizkeh L'mitzvot! Yeyasher kochacha! I must admit that I haven't made it past the first week since my kids showed up, though five of them did it this year!

Shifra said...

I've never made it past day five (and that might be a generous estimate.)
Pathetic... maybe next year!!!!

I just came back and I see that I have alot of your posts to catch up on!

Ralphie: If you're also sleeping through the rabbi's sermon, how do you know that Bean isn't awake?

Sweet: Pentecost is Shavuot.

Sabra: A hundred years? Thanks a lot.

Tuesday and Shifra: the truth is that prior to this year, I'd be hard-pressed to make it out of Passover.

Kasamba: Get cracking!
