Have you ever met a sci fi fan (aside from me and the hubster, and Dr. Bean) in real life, or do we all convene only online? :)

So tell me, is there any room in the definition of "geek" for low-tech types like me? :)

I'm sure I have met many Sci-fi fans, just very few who are willing to admit it in public.

As a life-long geek, I can say that those are words of truth. There are hot women who find geeks attractive, but there is always, ALWAYS, a dark-side.

The secret is to find the hot women who don't know they're hot, and thus dress like other geeks. Then you know it's safe.

No really, the drug rep just enjoys your company.

P.T.: I saw your 10 year old photo...you, sir, are no geek.

Ah, but what you couldn't see is that I was wearing shorts and black socks.

C-mom, you can't judge a geek by looks alone. And for many geeks, denying the title is an insult.

Honestly, if the subspecies geekus maximus did not include females, it would quickly die out.

And yes Sally, there are degrees of geeks. I was moderate in college, and have since regressed to mild. But I was greatly honored when I gave a little tech tip at OKS, and Ayelet vindicated my web handle for the first time in many moons.
