With that catalog of humor, how will I ever beat you ... wait .. oh your spliting your votes three ways right? Ok then .. no worries. :-)

Ah yes. The family feud over the best humor blog. Who will win? Will you post support for your wife and child? Or hope nobody notices, and you get bragging rights? :)

I'm rootin' for you.

Actually I'm hiring hit men to whack your competitors.

My family should thank their lucky stars we're not on a sinking ship together!!

It's every man for himself!!

What about the women!?

Will there be a war of the family bloggers?! More importantly... How much are tickets???

Rose's Story is too nominated - look under the best series category, five from the bottom.

PsychoToddler said...

Oh, good, they put it back. Thanks for letting me know.

I didn't even know about Rose's Story until I looked at the nominees for best series. I'm looking forward to this when I have time. I think it's such a wonderful tribute to your mom and an important duty to educate future generations. Good for you.

A good man always thinks ahead...but writing for Thursday, February 2, 2006? Why didn't you at least clue us in for February 2, 2008?!

And if you catch the error before this gets posted, then the joke is not on you, but the yoke (egg) will surely be on me!

Doctor Bean said...

Pearl: Dating a post in the future is a way to keep it at the top of the page even after subsequent posts are written. The posts are sorted by date so it'll be the most "recent" post until after he posts something in February -- hopefully his acceptance speech, in which he recognizes a certain humble yet goofy frequent commenter as the key to his skyrocketing readership.

I like to think of it as "built-in obsolescense."

with one important distinction: thursday, february 2 is a week before my birthday!

Your blog is everything that a blog should be. My favorite post was the Brady Bunch graphic.

Chaim said...

"everything a blog should be"

Wow, PT you sure you can live up to that?

PsychoToddler said...

I gotta put that up as a testimonial somewhere around here.

I swear that i am in no way related to PRISS.

Who am I kidding, I don't have to tell anyone that.

When my relatives come to this site, all they do is insult me! Of course I'm not related to Priss!

How can I vote for someone who's blog post is dated February 2, 2006? You can be eliminated for that.

PsychoToddler said...

Neil, I've looked over the contest rules from top to bottom, and I could find no prohibition against time travel.

Doctor Bean said...

New posts will appear below this one??? Like under my desk?

I don't get it.

Anne said...

Can I put a future date on my comments too? I want them to appear, um, after Shabbat, instead of when I actually wrote them.

That would be handy indeed.

Ayelet said...

Okay, this is unrelated to JIB awards, but here's my question: What did you do to raise such an amazing kid like fudge? I just started reading her latest post (I haven't even finished yet!) and I'm just bowled over by her maturity and sincere goodness. So, c'mon, share the secret. What's the magic?

Ezzie said...

Amen to Ayelet!

Furthermore... it's nice that I could vote for both you and Fudge. For now. :) (sorry Mrs. B!)

You going to edit the I voted picture when you vote again on Thursday?

PsychoToddler said...

Ayelet: Thank you for the compliment! I am always happy to hear nice things about my children!

Let's see...the secret? Well, if we take Fudge as an example...

Take one precocious kid. Send her to a right-wing school where she is a misfit. Add 2 irreverant parents. Sprinkle in equal amounts of Mary Stewart, Monty Python, Punk Rock, and Final Fantasy VII. Shake vigorously.

Then ship her to NY and hope she doesn't end up on drugs!

Ezzie: I voted for Fudge too. And Mrs. B. That was a lie. I did vote for you, though.

Ezzie said...

PT, LOL. See, this is why I voted for you.

And really? Thanks! I'm flattered and honored.

Anne said...

I voted for you, now go vote for me, pretty please. Book Buds is a finalist in the Best of Blogs competition (Best Book/Literary Blog) at www.thebestofblogs.com

Many thanks.

Good one, Amshi. Almost gave me a heart attack here. For a minute, I thought Rabbi Wein was reading this crap.

There. I voted for you. Rotsaruck.
