Weeee've been working on the Suuuukkah...

The PT, Curly, Larry, and Moe attempt to recreate the famous Iwo Jima pose.

Back to work!

NONE SHALL PASS!
BTW, all six kids helped with the Sukkah, but Fudge and Iguana weren't around when I snapped the pictures.

Hmph, the Iwo Jima pose looks staged! You're blessed to have such a great family.

Hey, so was Iwo Jima. And PT, you are blessed. Cute pics.

Side Q: Does it snow into your Sukkah in MiWacky? Or just rain, like in Cleveland?

great pics! That looks like one really sturdy succah. Any problems with branches from trees?

Looks like fun to me.

The PT is adorable. Definitely not a toddler any more! Look at your guys in your winter coats and mittens. It was about 90 degrees here yesterday. Ted & his daughter put the bamboo (schach! gesundheit!) on the succah and nearly got heatstroke.

LOL at the first pic! Very cute. Scarves and gloves to build the sukkah? oh, no.....
Chag Sameach. Have a wonderful Sukkot.

I hasn't snowed on Sukkos as long as I've lived here, but there's a first time for everything.

When I was shlepping and setting up the walls (solid plywood), it was 70 degrees and I was shvitzing. By the time we put the schach (gezundheit!) up, the temperature had dropped a bit.

My prediction: It will be too cold to enjoy without coats, but warm enough for the wasps.

Crimeny! Now it's raining like a banshee!

It's 90 degrees here in Dallas. I want autumn!!! I loved the pix.

The PT is a big girl. She might be P but she's not a T.

I'm very sleep deprived, so I only have two thoughts, both monosyllabic.

Cute.

Brrrrrr.

Raining in L.A., too. I took down all lighting fixtures last night. I'll probably leave 'em down, too. I don't expect to do more than say kiddush in the Sukkah these first two days of rainy holiday.

Question: What is that filmly thing below the schach?

Mesh. To keep wasps out. I had it cleared with the local rabbinical authorities (and also my brother-in-law). It's OK as long as the holes are wider than the mesh. It works, too.

Great shots! Looks like a labor of love.

Nu, time to update the original The PT shot--no more stroller for that growing girl!

Moadim l'simchah la-mishpachah.

The Iwo Jima pose, :)

That looks like a fun family mission. Kind of looks like the smoke house my dad built in our back yard when I was young.

PsychoToddler said...

If our Sukkah starts smoking, then something has gone terribly wrong.

P.T....are those Christmas lights in your Sukkah?

I came checking for your next blog but it's the same one (cute children by the by). I expect for you to sit at home and blog for us all day. ;)

Cruisin mom: You can get some unbelievable discounts on Christmas decorations in August.

Wickwire: See my next post.
