Happy Blah-giversary to me!

Hard to believe it's been 1 year since Psychotoddler opened shop. Seems like much more. Anyway, during this time I have written 376 posts, enough to fill a medium-sized book. Well, it would be enough, if they were coherent. Here's a rundown on the number of posts on each topic I've written about over the past year. New readers may find it somewhat surprising.

My kids39
My Band36
The Holocaust25
Jewish Music16
Family Vacations14
Shul Issues14
Being a doctor13
Being Orthodox in a Non-Jewish world13
Me and things attached to me13
Frummies Vs Modern Orthodox12
My Wife9
Jewish education8
Judaism Not Otherwise Specified8
Homestar Runner7
Non-Jewish Music7
Weird Stuff6
Home Repair6
Star Wars6
Drug Companies5
Jewish Holidays4
Media bias3
My Car3
TV or TiVo3
Jewish Behavior2
Health Care2
Talk radio1

If you've been reading along from the beginning, I apologize. There's no way I can give you back all of those wasted hours.

Here are a few more statistics:

Songs: 20
Movies: 6
Homestar Runner bits: 9

Happy 1 Year, Mark! I have to say...out of every blog I read or have ever heard of...the name "PsychoToddler" has always been my favorite. :)

Mazel Tov, are you going to have to change the blog name to Psycho Kiddy at some point?

Congrats -- and what did I learn from you today? That kids (top spot on your list) takes away time from reading (books at bottom spot on your list).

Your blog is in my top three favorite blogs of all time. Love the humor, the wit and the weirdness. Keep 'em coming.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Unaccustomed as i am to public speaking...

Pearl: Do I feel my life is any different? Yes. For one thing, my grasp of the English language has certainly improved.

But I've also been able to get quite a bit off my chest, and I'm definitely not as worked up about stupid things as I used to be. I can step back more and find humor in situations where before I found nothing but frustration.

And I've met some great virtual friends, which almost makes up for lack of actual friends.

Targeted socializing (TM).

Stacey: Truth be told, the name came first. I was shaking my head at PT after one of her little "performances" and all I could say was "psychotoddler..." At that point I decided I had to use it for SOMETHING, whether a band name or a song. But it seems to suit this site well.

Gavriel: Welcome. I've addressed this in the past. She's not a toddler anymore, but CrazyTweenie or PsychoPreschooler, or FarkaktaKid don't really work for me.

But none of you can have any of those either!

Neil: very astute of you.

Essie: You will have to introduce yourself discretely next time you're in shul.

I was wondering if you would be offering refunds of some kind for all those hours!

So, the Psych Baby has just become a toddler, eh? We'd better start watching out for the terrible twos. :)

Mazal tov, and many more.

Congrats man.

Out of curiosity, how did you file the post you wrote about me?

PsychoToddler said...

Hey, long time no see Dovsie!

Hmm...let me see if I remember...

Talk Radio? No...Furniture?
Uhh...Jewish Behavior?
no...Accents?...not sure...

oh I know, Media Bias!

it was either weird stuff or blogging.

Some things just don't fit neatly into a single category.
