Extreme Kiruv

I don't know if anyone else linked to this, so I apologise in advance. My daughter sent me this link. Watch the video:

very funny - I loved the pareve cholent bit.

The numbers of people he rescued is unfortunately too close to the truth.

PT: Thank you for stopping by and leaving a very insightful comment. I posted a response on my blog. BTW, I went to the temple for Porum, and I got to tell you, I had a lot of fun at the expense of evil hayman. :)

But is NCSY's kiruv any less dorky? It's a cute gimmick though, right?

Let's see. We have a reputation for very dorky ineffective outreach. Not like those Aish HaTorah guys; they really get the numbers, but they're nuts. So we need a funny video of a really very dorky guy doing absolutely moronic outreach, and that will help us brand ourselves as less dorky and moronic than him. Genius!

Am I always cynical about Jewish stuff on your blog? I gotta stop that.

As far as I can tell, the tone of this blog takes it's direction from the top down, so you have only me to blame if you're cynical.

You need to associate with more positive people.

Seriously, never underestimate the power of girls to attract boys to any endeavor, even outreach.

Look at me: I met my wife at NCSY. And for some reason, now they don't even return my calls.
